Their first tour was with friends Shout Out Louds in January 2008 and since then they have supported The Kills, Wolf Parade, Lykke Li, Handsome Furs, Wintersleep and Cursive.
The band is fronted by Dante DeCaro of Hot Hot Heat and Wolf Parade and includes Lindy Gerrard, Mark Devoe, and Jeff "Big Juicy Papa" Phillips.
The novel received renewed attention in early 2008, when Kissing the Beehive was announced as a tentative title for the second studio album by Canadian indie rock band Wolf Parade.
The band went on an indefinite hiatus in 2011 and was acknowledged as having ended as a group on August 30, 2012, in an interview with Spoon front-man Britt Daniel.

Fifths of Seven is a Canadian instrumental string/piano/accordion trio formed in 1995 in Montreal, composed of Spencer Krug (Wolf Parade, Sunset Rubdown, Swan Lake, and Frog Eyes), Beckie Foon (A Silver Mt. Zion, Set Fire to Flames, and Esmerine), and Rachel Levine (Cakelk).
New Wave Blues was both produced and mixed by Krief, and was mastered by Ryan Morey (Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade and The Stills).
