2 March – After much publicity, a two minute advert for Pepsi featuring Madonna's single Like a Prayer is shown during a commercial break on ITV 12 minutes into The Bill.

In September 2011, Gold's cover of the Billy Fury song "Wondrous Place" was used in an advert for the British beer brand Carling.

In 1992, Davenport was filmed dancing on a Soho roof for a short film ‘Joy’ by Mehdi Norowzian, a performance that inspired the Anticipation Guinness advertisement.

Annelise Hesme

As well as this, she has become particularly well known and popular in the United Kingdom and Ireland following the 2005 Renault Clio advert "France vs. Britain" directed by Ridley Scott’s daughter Jordan Scott who also directed the 2007 follow up spot "More Va Va Voom" again starring Hesme as Sophie and English actor Jeremy Sheffield as Ben.
