He has published three violin sonatas, the second dedicated to Julian Rachlin and the third to Viktoria Mullova, who also played the world premiere of the piece.

Alina Ibragimova

Her first CD for Hyperion Records was the complete violin works of Karl Amadeus Hartmann in 2007, which was followed by the two violin concertos of Nikolai Roslavets in 2008, a disc of the complete violin and piano works by Karol Szymanowski, and the JS Bach Sonatas and Partitas for solo violin in 2009.

Alistair Hinton

His other compositions include sonatas, variations and other works for piano, a violin concerto (dedicated to Jane Manning), songs (amongst them settings of Rabindranath Tagore, Hinton's Opp. 9 and 12), works for the organ, a string quintet (for two violins, viola, cello, double-bass and soprano, and lasting for 2 hrs 45 mins in performance), and a Sinfonietta.

Audlem

British composer Peter McGarr (born 1953) has written several pieces inspired by Audlem ('Audlem Sonatas', 'Night-time' and 'Mourning Gamelan'), as homage to his mother who lived in the village when a child.

Charles Ambrose

His most notable work is Three Grand Sonatas for piano which was published in 1825; a copy of which is held in the collection at the Library and Archives Canada.

Chevalier de Saint-George

Saint-George wrote symphonies, roughly 25 concertos for violin and orchestra, string quartets, sonatas, and songs in the style of Mozart, Haydn and the composers of the "Mannheim school".

Dorina Frati

Frati has recorded with various labels, most notably: Antonio Vivaldi and A. M. Giuliani's Concerto for Mandolin (Erato); Johann Hummel's Opera Omnia for Mandolin and Neapolitan Concertos for Mandolin (Dynamic); G. G. Edgar Krapp

In 1983 he played the organ in the basilica at Kloster Benediktbeuern, "Old Italian Church Sonatas for 'Cello and Organ", with David Geringas.

English Music Festival

The Violin Sonatas by Arthur Bliss and Henry Walford Davies have languished in manuscript form for over one hundred years, and were performed at the 2010 English Music Festival by regular EMF artists Rupert Marshall-Luck and Matthew Rickard.

Eric Fenby

He recorded the three Delius violin sonatas, firstly with Ralph Holmes and later with Yehudi Menuhin, and the Delius Cello Sonata with Julian Lloyd Webber.

Fitzwilliam Sonatas

The term was applied by later editors to the original two sonatas as Handel wrote them, and was also expanded to encompass several other sonatas for various instruments included in the Handel autograph manuscripts held by the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge.

Friedemann Kupsa

Along with the Duo Sonatas by Maurice Ravel, Zoltán Kodály and the Variations by Elizabeth Maconchy, Kupsa played the world premiere of the duo composition Strassenmusik No 16 by Dimitri Nicolau, which is dedicated to the two soloists Renate Eggebrecht, violin, and Friedemann Kupsa, violoncello.

Gilbert Kalish

Gunnar Johansen

James Sherard

Printed by Estienne Roger in Amsterdam, the piece is based on Italian sonatas, perhaps those of Arcangelo Corelli.

Jean-Philippe Rameau
