In 2013 the show was then remade in America as Family Tools for ABC with Poynton overseeing the show, writing episodes and serving as Co-Creator and Consulting Producer.
It is based on the British sitcom White Van Man, which was produced by ITV Studios America's parent company, ITV Studios, and whose creator, Adrian Poynton, is also a co-creator and producer of the American version.
White Van Man is also a comedy TV series written and created by Adrian Poynton and starring Will Mellor and Georgia Moffett.
