The agreement about material list was signed in December 1944 by Andrei Zhdanov from the Allied Commission and the prime minister of Finland, J.K. Paasikivi.

Andrei Zhdanov

Dmitri Shostakovich, Sergei Prokofiev, Aram Khachaturian and many other composers were reprimanded during this period.

His first action (in December 1946) was to censor Russian writers such as Anna Akhmatova and Mikhail Zoshchenko.

Mikhail Ryumin

In late 1952, Ryumin reported to Minister of State Security Viktor Semyonovich Abakumov that Professor Yakov Gilyarievich Etinger had committed malpractice in treating Andrei Zhdanov and Shcherbakov, allegedly with the intention of killing them.
