Ballarat V/Line rail service

Named Wendouree station, it is west of Ballarat station on the Ararat line.

In November 2004 then Premier of Victoria Steve Bracks announced that the line would be renamed the Eureka Line to mark the 150th anniversary of the Eureka uprising.

Benalla railway station

Located at the Midland Highway level crossing close to the centre of town, the station is served by both V/Line Albury-Wodonga line and NSW TrainLink Melbourne - Sydney passenger services.

Melton, Victoria

Some VLocity Ballarat services, Ararat services, Maryborough services as well as most N class and P class Bacchus Marsh services stop at Melton en route to and from Southern Cross Station.

South Australian Railways Bluebird railcar

In 1998 another four Bluebirds (106, 107, 254 and 255) were sold to Bluebird Rail, refurbished and hired to V/Line for Gippsland line services to Warragul and Traralgon.

South Kensington – West Footscray railway line

The only passenger services using the line operate on the standard gauge, being the daily NSW TrainLink XPT, the Great Southern Railway operated The Overland and standard gauge Albury-Wodonga V/Line rail service.

The town has a railway station on the Bairnsdale railway line.

Yarragon, Victoria

The town has its own railway station on the Bairnsdale railway line.
