Auk-class minesweeper

The Auk class displaced 890 tons on average, and had an approximate length of 220-225 feet.


A-class minesweeper

All four ships were commissioned on 4 August 1930, and two days later, on 6 August 1930, all four sailed to the Dutch East Indies, arriving at Surabaya on 30 October 1930.

All ships of the A class were built between 1928 and 1930 at Willemsoord, Den Helder.

Anticosti-class minesweeper

The class consisted of two former oil rig supply vessels, the Jean Tide and the Joyce Tide.

After conversion, the Anticosti class was used for minesweeping training in preparation for the Maritime Coastal Defence Vessel Project, what would later become the Kingston class of patrol vessels in the late 1990s.

Bandicoot-class minesweeper

During 2001, Bandicoot and Wallaroo were involved in Operation Bel Isi, the Australian commitment to the Bougainville Peace Monitoring Group.
