Antelope Island

Bald Eagles, Golden Eagles, Prairie Falcons, Peregrine Falcons, Northern Harriers, American Kestrels, Great Horned Owls, Barn Owls, Ospreys and Red-Tailed Hawks are some of the species of raptors that can occur on the island.

United States v. Dion

Dwight Dion Sr., a member of the Yankton Sioux Tribe of South Dakota, was convicted of shooting four bald eagles in violation of the Endangered Species Act, and of selling the carcasses in violation of the Eagle Protection Act and Migratory Bird Treaty Act.
