Arthur Heywood, Sons (Benjamin had left to start a bank in Manchester) became one of the leading private banks in Liverpool and its accounts were to include the Corporation of Liverpool, the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board, and the Liverpool Cathedral.

Chattanooga, Rome and Southern Railroad

An interesting note is that these shares were apparently popular, since the Bank of Liverpool in London bought 10 shares, according to stock certificate number A949, of June 10, 1898.

Cocks Biddulph

On 30 December 1919 Cocks Biddulph was acquired by the Bank of Liverpool and Martins Ltd becoming, in 1928, Martins Bank Limited, the branch premises being known as London Cocks Biddulph, sort code 11-00-20.
