The Serbian film maker Emir Kusturica has, through his films (Black Cat, White Cat), made the style popular in the international community outside the Balkans.
The title was an allusion to the flour mill from Kusturica’s Black Cat, White Cat.

Van Meter's work at Oni led to other series at DC, including the mini-series Cinnamon: El Ciclo and Black Lightning: Year One, and at Marvel, where she recently wrote a mini-series featuring Black Cat.
Marcus Collins followed his father into architectural practice, later working on a number of noted London buildings including "London's Wonder Works", the Arcadia Cigarette Factory in Hampstead where, from the late 1920s to the late 1950s, Black Cat and Craven "A" cigarettes were made.
Following this, she was an ensemble star and narrator, alongside the superheroines Firestar, Black Cat, and Photon, in the miniseries Marvel Divas #1-4 (Sept.-Dec. 2009), which writers Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Tonci Zonjic had pitched it to Marvel editors as "Sex and the City in the Marvel Universe".
