Daria-i-Noor

In 1965, a Canadian team conducting research on the Iranian Crown Jewels concluded that the Darya-ye Noor may well have been part of a large pink diamond that had been studded in the throne of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, and had been described in the journal of the French jeweller Jean-Baptiste Tavernier in 1642, who called it the Great Table diamond ("Diamanta Grande Table").

Khwaja Alimullah

Khwaja alimullah purchased the famous diamond Daria-i-Noor Sea of Light; Persian: دريا (Daria, meaning Sea), Persian: نور (Noor, meaning Light) for Tk 75 thousand when it was auctioned on behalf of the British government by Hamilton and Company of Calcutta in November 1852.

Noor-ul-Ain

That larger diamond is thought to have been cut in two, with one section becoming the Noor-ul-Ain and the other the Daria-i-Noor diamond.
