3 unusual facts about Dead Hot Workshop

Dead Hot Workshop

Dead Hot Workshop was formed by Steve Larson, Brent Babb, Brian Griffith and Scott Palmer in 1988.

They were a popular fixture of the Tempe music scene in the 1990s, when Tempe was being dubbed as "The Next Seattle" by music reps, and as a region that would produce many new, talented bands that would be ripe for national discovery.

Stephen Ashbrook

Many bands, including the Gin Blossoms, The Refreshments and Dead Hot Workshop found success with this guitar-driven rock music.

Doug Hopkins

It would be the last band he ever played with in public as a member, though he appeared on stage with Dead Hot Workshop and Hans Olson in Tucson shortly before his death.

Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers

Also in the mix was Steve Larson, former guitarist for another Tempe band, Dead Hot Workshop, who had already been playing with the Peacemakers by that time.
