In addition to two Fulbright awards to France and the Netherlands he has received other awards from the Earhart Foundation, the Institute for World Order, and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
He was awarded with grants 1988 of the Earhart Foundation, 1989 of the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation; 1991 with the leadership award of the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
It was funded by the Harry B. Earhart Foundation, and was officially known as the Earhart Plant Research Laboratory.
