Lucasium damaeum

It is nocturnal, insectivorous, and is indigenous to the area around the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia - most particularly in arid climates such as found in Gawler Ranges National Park.

Teyl

The genus occurs in south-western Australia as well as in Eyre Peninsula and western Victoria.


Ardrossan, South Australia

After the depression in the 1930s, the town and its businesses were largely stagnant until a large open-cut dolomite mine was opened by the Broken Hill Proprietary Company (BHP) in the 1950s for use in its steel manufacture at Whyalla on the Eyre Peninsula and Port Kembla in New South Wales.

Australian Survivor

It was set at Whaler's Way, an Eyre Peninsula coastal nature reserve in Port Lincoln, South Australia in the Great Australian Bight, where numerous ships had sunk off the coast in the past.

Black Swan

In the south west the range ecompasses an area between North West Cape, Cape Leeuwin and Eucla; while in the east it covers are large region bounded by the Atherton Tableland, the Eyre Peninsula and Tasmania, with the Murray Darling Basin supporting very large populations of Black Swans.

Bon Bon Reserve

Bon Bon Reserve is a 2168 km2 nature reserve in South Australia, lying between the Great Victoria Desert and the Eyre Peninsula and bisected by the Stuart Highway.

Lovely Fairywren

The other three species are localised residents in restricted regions of Australia: the widespread Variegated Fairywren (M. lamberti), the Red-winged Fairywren (M. elegans) of the southwest corner of Western Australia, and the Blue-breasted Fairywren (M. pulcherrimus) of southern Western Australia and the Eyre Peninsula.
