Alias Nick Beal (British title: The Contact Man) is a 1949 film retelling of the Faust myth directed by John Farrow and starring Ray Milland, Audrey Totter and Thomas Mitchell (although third-billed, Mitchell plays the leading role).
Cabin in the Sky tells a version of the Faust legend in which Little Joe, a man killed over gambling debts, is restored to life by angelic powers and given six months to redeem his soul and become worthy of entering Heaven -- otherwise he will be condemned to Hell.
