1988 Formula One season

Dallara were late in producing their first Formula One car, forcing the BMS team into using a modified Formula 3000 chassis in the first race in Brazil (the Dallara 3087).

1989 Formula One season

Benetton retained Alessandro Nannini and replaced Thierry Boutsen with British rookie Johnny Herbert who was eventually replaced by McLaren test driver Emanuele Pirro (Herbert had not fully healed from his 1988 Formula 3000 crash at Brands Hatch and needed more recovery time).

Pacific PR01

Most of the PR01's aerodynamics and design on a whole was based on Reynard's Formula 3000 car, with 'best guess' aerodynamics as the car had undergone none of the vital wind tunnel testing required to refine the car's aerodynamics.

Skid block

Initially applied to Formula One cars in 1994, it has also been used in other categories including Formula 3000 and Formula Three.

The 2004 Grand Prix of Portorož was a non-championship Formula 3000 race held on a temporary circuit at Portorož Airport, Portorož, Slovenia on 2 October 2004.

Marc Goossens nicknamed The Goose (born 30 November 1969 in Geel) is a Belgian racecar driver who drove in Formula 3000 from 1994 to 1996 and part-time from 1999 to 2001.
