Environmental sustainability has become more and more prevalent in STIP's designs, demonstrated in the greenhouse gas reduction technology used in the Fathom Five National Marine Park/Bruce Peninsula National Park visitors' centre, The Wellness Centre at the UofT Mississauga Campus (UTM) also incorporated green roofs, one of which was intended for use by the biology department.

Participants come from some of the world's leading architectural and engineering practices (such as Arup, Buro Happold, Foster + Partners, Grimshaw Architects and KPF) and educational institutions (including MIT, Architectural Association, The Bartlett, University of Bath and Delft University of Technology).
The church was damaged by the bombing during the Second World War and restoration work was carried out by the conservation architects Caroe & Partners between 1946 and 1951.
