He has shown at such venues as Grounds for Sculpture, Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art, Real Art Ways, the New Britain Museum of American Art, Black & White Gallery, Five Myles, Stamford Museum, Galerie fur Landschaftskunst (Hamburg, Germany), Galeria Sztuki Wspolczesnej (Opole, Poland), and Zacheta (Warsaw, Poland).
His work is scattered throughout New England, including the DeCordova Museum in Massachusetts, Grounds for Sculpture in New Jersey, South Boston Maritime Park, Harvard Square, MBTA Alewife station, Lowell, and several other locations in the greater Boston area; most recently, at the Stamford Courthouse in Stamford, Connecticut.
In July 2013 it was announced that The Sculpture Foundation, owners of Johnson's Forever Marilyn, would be moving the statute from Palm Springs, California (where it had stood since June 2012) to the Grounds for Sculpture for a 2014 exhibit honoring him.

Rat's Restaurant was conceptually designed by Johnson, with an Impressionist Claude Monet-styled atmosphere.
Currently, Isles is working to renovate an 1800 mill that will become a multi-use center for community and culture in the Trenton area, not far from the well known Grounds for Sculpture.
