Kwesachu Mixtape Vol.1 features reworks of musicians including Hot Chip, Cibelle, Metronomy, Golden Silvers, The Invisible, Man Like Me, Finn Peters, and guests upcoming artists associated with the two musicians, including MCs Ghostpoet and DELS, Romy of The xx, Brotha May, Elan Tamara and Micachu's band The Shapes.
The album has contributions from several artists including Wiley, Boys Noize, Hot Chip, Chase & Status and Damon Albarn.
Prior to making Project X, he directed music videos for Dizzee Rascal, Pink Grease, Franz Ferdinand, Bat for Lashes, Santigold, Hot Chip, Yelle and Lily Allen.
"Shake a Fist" is the first single released by Hot Chip from their 2008 album Made in the Dark.
The group finished off 2008 with a full US tour opening for A Place To Bury Strangers and the release of a 12” called Remix, which features collaborations with Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip), Brian DeGraw (Gang Gang Dance) and Spring Heel Jack.
The album includes a number of cover songs including songs by Ryan Adams, The Undertones, The Magnetic Fields, Prefab Sprout, Sandy Denny and The Strawbs, Hot Chip, Galaxie 500, American Music Club, and Bob Dylan.
Taking time during their world tour of DJing and performing live, they recorded with guests such as Beth Ditto (from Gossip) and Alexis Taylor (from Hot Chip).

The festival headliners were The Maccabees, SWAY, Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard, Radioclit presents The Very Best, Tayo, Radio 1’s Nihal, Fabric’s Ali B, Ross Allen and Dekker & Johan, with many African acts including The Black Missionaries, Lucius Banda and Tay Grin.
