Hot Tuna

The two Sweetwater albums were predominantly acoustic sets with guests; Bob Weir from the Grateful Dead, singer Maria Muldaur, and ex-Rod Stewart, Jefferson Starship keyboards player Pete Sears; the latter was to join the group on a permanent basis during the decade.

The Dinosaurs

Over time Papa John Creach of Hot Tuna, Jack Casady of Jefferson Airplane, Nicky Hopkins, Dave Getz, Country Joe McDonald and other prominent San Francisco musicians would guest star with the group.


Common Ground on the Hill

Common Ground has attracted a number of well-known musicians to perform, including Hot Tuna and Tom Chapin.

First Pull Up, Then Pull Down

In 1996, RCA released the CD box set Hot Tuna in a Can which included a remastered version of this album, along with remasters of the albums Hot Tuna, Burgers, America's Choice and Hoppkorv.

Live at Sweetwater Two

Live at Sweetwater Two is a live Hot Tuna album recorded at the same time as the album, Live at Sweetwater, but contains no tracks from the previous release.

In addition to Phil Lesh, this version of the constantly changing lineup of Phil Lesh and Friends includes Jorma Kaukonen (Jefferson Airplane, Hot Tuna), Steve Kimock (Kingfish, Missing Man Formation, The Other Ones), Pete Sears (Rod Stewart, Jefferson Starship, Hot Tuna), Prairie Prince (The Tubes, Journey, Missing Man Formation), Caitlin Cornwell, and Zoe Ellis.

Skoota Warner

Warner is currently working on The Emeril Lagasse Show on The ION Network, Hot Tuna, G.E. Smith, Screaming Headless Torsos, KIF, Patrick Stump, Cyndi Lauper and completing his solo record due to be released early 2011.

Stacy Parrish

Parrish's other notable recording, mixing and engineering achievements include: The Story by Brandi Carlile, Moonalice, Mixing Front of House and live sound recordings for Randy Newman, Jon Brion, GE Smith, Hot Tuna, The Coward Brothers with Elvis Costello and T-Bone Burnett; Neko Case live with T-Bone Burnett, John Cougar Mellencamp, and Doyle Bramhall II.

The Offs

The Offs are a punk/ska band from San Francisco, started by guitarist Billy Hawk and singer Don Vinil, and later joined by former Hot Tuna drummer Bob Steeler and a rotation of horn players including Bob Roberts, Richard Edson and Roland Young.

The Randy Abel Stable

In February 2012, The Randy Abel Stable played at Beijing's Yugong Yishan with Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna founder and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, Jorma Kaukonen.
