Numerous records in the coastal regions of the west and south, it has also been found in the Abrolhos at East Wallabi Island.


Patchwork stingaree

The patchwork stingaree is a northern Australian endemic with a discontinuous range: the western population is found from the Houtman Abrolhos to Cape Leveque in Western Australia, and the eastern population from Caloundra to Townsville in Queensland.

Turtle Dove Shoal

In his 1825 Narrative of a survey of the intertropical and western coasts of Australia, Phillip Parker King suggested that they were merely the southernmost reef of the Houtman Abrolhos.
