The film was released on VHS/NTSC videocassette in 1991 by RCA/Columbia Pictures Home Video under the shortened title "Teenage Frankenstein" which was the alternate title also used when released in the UK by Anglo-Amalgamated.

Both films were later sequelled in AIP's How to Make a Monster, released in July 1958.
It also continued to use the word "teenage" in the title, a trend that was common in motion picture titles, including I Was a Teenage Frankenstein, and I Was a Teenage Werewolf.
