In 2008, she became both an arbitrator at the International Court of Arbitration and an accredited mediator, as well as beginning an affiliation with the Mediation and Arbitration Department of Titu Maiorescu University's Law Faculty.
Hodson was a member of the International Court of Arbitration at The Hague between 1949 and 1971 and further president of the British branch of the International Law Association.
The Court was founded in 1923 under the leadership of the ICC's first president Étienne Clémentel, a former French Minister of Finance.

He was chair of the parliament Peace Association from 1900 and a member of the International Court of Arbitration in The Hague from 1906 to 1929.
He has served international and national organisations in various capacities, including as President of the Union Internationale des Avocats, Founder and Patron of the Anglo-Australasian Lawyers' Society, Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Australia, Member of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce, Member of the Council of the NSW Bar Association and Chairman of the NSW Council of Law Reporting.
