U.S. Route 25 (Edgefield Road) is the main road through the community, leading north to Interstate 20 just outside the CDP.

The Golden Age Passports, now called the "Senior Pass", then in use for those 62 and above, may have attracted more travelers and campers passing along Interstate 20 to Caney Lakes.
