Jeep-Eagle

Chrysler made a good-faith effort to give the Eagle brand an identity by offering an all wheel drive (AWD) Eagle Talon, a carryover from the all-wheel drive AMC Eagle for which the brand was named.

The new owner dropped the legacy line of AMC cars (the Renault Alliance and Encore) and AMC's dealers continued to market and service the popular Jeep light-truck brand, the Medallion captive import, as well as the new Premier.


1997 Philadelphia Eagles season

The 1997 campaign was notable in that it ended a 13-year radio partnership between broadcasters Merrill Reese and former Eagle Stan Walters on 94 WIP. Mike Quick became the color commentator the following season.

9/11 Heroes Medal of Valor

The center has a dark blue-enamelled pentagon (representing The Pentagon), with a gilt disc bearing the twin towers of the World Trade Center, the American eagle holding the shield of the United States and laurel, and the date "9. 11. 01".

American Eagle Aircraft Corporation

Victor Roos, a co-founder of the 1921 Roos-Bellanca Aircraft Company in Omaha, Nebraska, had left a management position with the Swallow Aircraft Company in 1928, and was tapped to head the American Eagle-Lincoln Aircraft Corporation.
