Jon Heacock

Heacock then moved on as an assistant coach at the United States Military Academy before joining the coaching staff at Youngstown State in 1991.

The next two seasons, he was a graduate assistant on Bo Schembechler's staff at the University of Michigan, where he worked with both the defensive backs and special teams during a stretch in which Michigan won two Big Ten Conference titles and the 1989 Rose Bowl.

His successor, Jon Heacock, did not win a national championship, but still delivered consistent seasons and took them to a national semifinal appearance in 2006 (losing to eventual national champion Appalachian State) prior to resigning following the 2009 season.
