In 1864 von der Pfordten returned to power when King Ludwig II of Bavaria restored him.
In 1870 King Ludwig II. appointed Bray again Minister of State of the Exterior and President of the Council of Ministers.
In November 2010 he wrote and directed the third season of the series Sussurri e grida (four documentaries that tell the story of Ludwig II of Bavaria), produced by Sitcom Televisioni and aired on Marcopolo channel.
