3 unusual facts about Ludwig Traube

Cellanus

Philologische Untersuchungen aus dem Mittelalter, Ludwig Traube, pp.399-395, Abhandlungen der königlichen bayerische Akademie der Wissenschaften, Klasse 19, 1894.

Ludwig Traube believed him to be identical with the Abbot Cellanus who's obit is recorded in the Annales Laureshamenses under 706; and was probably the Cellan mac Sechnusaigh, sapiens, recorded in the same year in the Annals of Ulster (pp.96-119, 1900).

Codices Latini Antiquiores

The recollection, representing the masterwork of Elias Avery Lowe during his activity at Princeton University, had its roots in Lowe's doctoral thesis about the oldest calendars from Monte Cassino (1908) under the direction of Ludwig Traube.

Mayer waves

These waves were originally described by Siegmund Mayer, Ewald Hering and Ludwig Traube hence originally called "Traube–Hering–Mayer waves".
