Shrewsbury to Chester Line

On 28 April 2008, Wrexham & Shropshire began providing services along the section of line between Wrexham General and Shrewsbury, continuing via Wolverhampton to London Marylebone.

He was the subject of This Is Your Life in 1976 when he was surprised by Eamonn Andrews at London’s Marylebone Station.

Bakerloo line

By 1913, the line had been extended from its original northern terminus at Baker Street to the west with interchange stations with the Great Central Railway at Marylebone and the Great Western Railway at Paddington, and a new station at Edgware Road.

Shrewley, Warwickshire

It has the Grand Union Canal, which passes through a tunnel and cutting which is a SSSI, London Marylebone to Birmingham Snow Hill railway and M40 motorway all running parallel and in close proximity at the south-western end of Shrewley Common.

Silverdale, Nottingham

South Ruislip station

The GWR/GCR Joint line to High Wycombe carried services from both Paddington and Marylebone.

The Landmark London

It was first proposed by Sir Edward Watkin of the Great Central Railway who envisaged Marylebone station, which the hotel was to serve, as the hub of an international railway which would run through a channel tunnel.
