Lester Patrick and the New York Rangers offered Winthrop native Myles Lane to the Bruins, astonishingly asking for superstar Eddie Shore in return.

Judge Lane was appointed to the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, First Department in 1974, where he remained until his retirement in 1979.

In 1928, Lane was offered by the Rangers to the Bruins for Eddie Shore and $5,000.
