2 unusual facts about Provisional application

Provisional application

The provisional application was introduced to U.S. patent law with a 1994 amendment of the Patent Act of 1952.

Though the "provisional" need not be submitted in English, a translation will be required when (and if) a non-provisional application claims the benefit of the provisional.
