3 unusual facts about Quebec Autoroute 15

Interstate 87

The Northway and I-87 end shortly thereafter at the Canadian border, where the highway continues past the Champlain-St. Bernard de Lacolle Border Crossing into Quebec as A-15.

Laurentides

The Laurentides still offer a weekend escape for Montrealers and tourists from New England to Ontario, though with the building of a major highway through the area in the 1970s (Autoroute 15), the area has experienced a lot of growth.

Quebec Autoroute 15

During the Montreal Flood of 1987, over 100 mm fell over the central part of the Montreal island and a large part of it ended up in the sunken highway, transforming it into a river.

Lacolle River

This small river runs through the Safari Park of Hemmingford township, in the row "9th Concession South Area", heading north, then east to cross the Quebec Autoroute 15.
