This was followed by the RAC asking the Club to organise a major stage on the International RAC Rally (Now known as Rally GB).
Resolven has played host to one of the best known stages of the Wales Rally GB for many years.
Jardine has taken part in Rally GB every year since returning to the UK, and in 2013 will compete in a Mitsubishi Lancer with co-driver Amy Williams.
Many of the town's residents are employed at the nearby Deeside Industrial Estate, located on the north side of the Dee, and is the location of a second power station, Tata Steelworks, Toyota, Wales Rally GB and the central headquarters of the Iceland chain of supermarkets.
