2 unusual facts about Ricky Rudd

Ricky Rudd

After his only win of 1989 came at the inaugural Sears Point event, Rudd departed the operation, and in 1990 he signed with Hendrick Motorsports to drive the #5 Levi Garrett Chevrolet Lumina.

He would end the season in the #7 Sanyo car for Nelson Malloch, for whom he had one tenth-place run.

Ben Leslie

He was moved again at the end of the season to the #21 Motorcraft/Wood Brothers Racing Ford driven by Ricky Rudd, but the team struggled with only five top-tens and dropped to twenty-third in points.

Paulie Harraka

Harraka also won a popular karting event at Mark Dismore's karting facility in Indiana, the RoboPong 200 (now known as the Dan Wheldon Cup after the 2005 winner was killed in October 2011) karting event, teamed with on-sabbatical NASCAR driver Ricky Rudd.
