The park served as a venue showcasing many legends of the Bluegrass genre including Bill Monroe, Charlie Daniels, Ricky Skaggs, Lester Flatt, Ralph Stanley, Doc Watson, and Norman Blake.
As a non-profit group, the International Bluegrass Music Museum has raised funds with the help of famous bluegrass musicians such as Ricky Skaggs and Ralph Stanley.

He continued to do session work throughout the 1980s and 1990s with artists such as John Hartford, George Strait, Gene Watson and Ricky Skaggs.
In 1999 he earned a Grammy Nomination for best bluegrass album of the year for his work on the album Bluegrass Mandolin Extravaganza on which he played with fellow mandolin greats Sam Bush, David Grisman, Ronnie McCoury, Jesse McReynolds, Bobby Osborne, Ricky Skaggs and Buck White.
Additionally, she has appeared with such country music artists as Mel Tillis, Ricky Skaggs, Chet Atkins, Roy Clark, Ray Stevens, The Oakridge Boys, and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.
The album was produced by Joey Allcorn and Tim Lawrence (Linda Rondstat, Trick Pony) and featured musicians Johnny Hiland (Toby Keith, Ricky Skaggs), Donnie Herron (BR549, Bob Dylan), Andy Gibson (Hank III) and Walt Cunningham (George Jones).
In 2007, he composed and recorded a double CD album entitled Psalngs with the help of the legendary record producer Brian Ahern, whose previous credits include producing records by Emmylou Harris, Marty Robbins, George Jones and Ricky Skaggs.

Ricky Skaggs, Paul Brewster and Ed Faris' guitars was featured on the intro in the chord of D. Steve Gibb, who was also musician, he joined bands like 58, Black Label Society, Crowbar and many more.
Musical acts included Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle, Emmylou Harris, Shawn Colvin, The Jayhawks, Delbert McClinton, John Hammond, Nickel Creek, B. B. King, Los Lobos, Ricky Skaggs, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and more than 150 other national, regional, and local bands.
Green Grass Blue Grass featured Ricky Skaggs on mandolin, Bryan Sutton on guitar, Aubrey Haynie on fiddle, Jeff Taylor on accordion and Mark Fain on Double Bass.
