The Tenth Doctor finds himself subconsciously quoting "Circle of Life" during a confrontation with the Sycorax leader in the season two premiere of the revived Doctor Who series, The Christmas Invasion.
As well as the theme song, most of the recurring themes for the season were introduced in the opening episode, "The Eleventh Hour", including Amy’s childhood themes ("Little Amy", "Can I Come With You?", "Little Amy: The Apple", "Amy in the TARDIS") and the Eleventh Doctor’s themes, "I Am the Doctor" and "The Mad Man With A Box", replacing tracks previously associated with the Ninth and Tenth Doctors ("The Doctor’s Theme" and "The Doctor Forever").
In the 2008/2009 Tenth Doctor strip The Stockbridge Child, Izzy is mentioned as having gone travelling around the world by Max who also says she found something "amazing" in Kabul but cannot reveal what before being interrupted by the Doctor's new companion Majenta.
An episode of the second series, 'Para Handy's Piper', guest starred future Tenth Doctor David Tennant in one of his early acting roles.

Figures based off the first four series of the revival included variants of, the Ninth Doctor, the Tenth Doctor, companions such as Rose Tyler, Martha Jones, and Donna Noble, various secondary and minor characters, and alien enemies encountered such as Daleks, Cybermen, Slitheen, Autons, Clockwork Robots, Scarecrows, and Weeping Angels.
A similar pun shows up in the title of the 2007 series episode "Smith and Jones", with the Tenth Doctor and new companion Martha Jones.
The title is the French for "Let's go!", which reflects the tone of the EP and is also a common utterance by the Tenth Doctor as played by David Tennant in Doctor Who.
