Kokoda Track

The Kokoda Track Foundation was established in 2003, to help villages along the Kokoda Track by assisting with their education and healthcare, by trying to protect their environment, by helping to foster the growth of an eco-friendly trekking and tourism industry from which they can benefit, by working to keep the story of Kokoda alive, and by seeking to identify and foster the next generation of PNG leaders.

The Kokoda Track Foundation

The aim of this organisation is to repay the selfless help given by the Papua-New Guineans (familiarly known as the "Fuzzy Wuzzy Angels") during World War II.

Finally, KTF is still developing a project of seed nurseries, since many village food gardens were destroyed by Cyclone Guba in 2007, and flooding in Oro Province in 2007, 2009 and 2011.
