In March 2005, shortly after releasing their second album, The Whore's Trophy, the band announced that vocalist Shawn Jonas had left the band.
The Whore's Trophy is Symphony in Peril's second and final full-length album, and was released on February 15, 2005.

Previously it was a Canucks MVP Award as selected by the fans while the other MVP award, the President's Trophy was selected by CP Air and later Canadian Airlines.
