The album was first released as a digital download on 18 June 2007, then released on CD and 12" vinyl 11 September 2007 in the US, and 8 March 2008 in the UK. The US edition of the album comes with the bonus track "Old Man," a Neil Young cover, a music video by Steven Compton for "Old Man" consisting mostly of the band recording the song, and an enhanced video of "By the Time I Get Home There Won't Be Much of a Place for Me.
Following this his son Farhan Azmi and daughter in law Ayesha Takia distanced themselves from Mr. Azmi's comments by saying "For the first time, I felt the person making those statements is not my dad,".
The song is titled "One time I replayed the empire state of mind" and is a cover of "One Time" by Justin Bieber, "Empire State of Mind" by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, and "Replay" by Iyaz.
Richards, with help from Ken Moule and Leslie Osborne, wrote and sang many of the songs that were a regular and popular feature of the series, including "Memories Come Gently", "Velvet Blue", "I Bet You've Heard This One Before", "Good to Me", "All Our Yesterdays", "When We Can Live in Peace Once More" and "If This Is The Last Time I See You".
The singles released from the album were "Can't Truss It", "Night Train", "Shut Em Down" and its B-side "By the Time I Get to Arizona" (samples "Two Sisters of Mystery" by Mandrill and a live version of "Walk on By" by the Jackson 5), in which Public Enemy was depicted in the video killing the Arizona governor, Evan Mecham, who refused to recognize Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday as a national holiday.
