His estates were confiscated, and in 1779 he received a grant of 10,000 acres (40 kmĀ²) of land in Wilmot, Nova Scotia, where he settled.

Timothy Ruggles, of Hardwick, in the county of Worcester, a member of the Stamp Act Congress of 1765
