Wing served as assistant sound designer on the Todd Solondz film Happiness and wrote and directed a number of short films in pursuing an MFA in film at Columbia University.
She also appeared as an actress in the award-winning 1998 Todd Solondz movie Happiness and in the 1999 movie Black and White.

He graduated from Oberlin College in 1992, and for some time worked at NYANA, a refugee resettlement agency in New York City (his co-workers there included Todd Solondz, Gary Shteyngart, Alexander Gelman and Roman Turovsky).
Born in Staten Island, New York, Sexton made his film debut in Todd Solondz's Welcome to the Dollhouse playing the troubled bully Brandon McCarthy, for which he was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award.
During this period he first worked with frequent collaborator Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain) in addition to other directors in the New York independent film world including: Todd Solondz (Storytelling), Paul Schrader (Autofocus) and Spike Lee (25th Hour).
