Nightmare Inn is a series of young adult horror novels by Todd Strasser, who penned the books using the pseudonym T. S. Rue (another pen name he sometimes uses is Morton Rhue).
The events of the experiment were adapted into a 1981 TV special, The Wave, and a young-adult novelization by Todd Strasser, who used the pen name Morton Rhue to write it.
