Ardennes classics

Later in the year, there are two similar 'trebles' in Italy: the Trittico Lombardo with the Tre Valli Varesine, Coppa Ugo Agostoni and Coppa Bernocchi in the Lombardy Region, and the Trittico di Autunno (Autumn Triptych) with Milano–Torino, Giro del Piemonte and Giro di Lombardia.

Milano–Torino

The race starts in Novate Milanese just to the north west of Milan and crosses the Ticino river at Vigevano after 40 kilometres, leaving the province of Lombardy and entering Piedmont.


1978 NASCAR Winston Cup Series

Willy T. Ribbs, noted road racer, was slated to drive an ex-Bud Moore Torino purchased by Will Cronkite in the 600 but was arrested for driving the wrong way up a one-way street; Cronkite hired local racer Dale Earnhardt to drive the car.

Adam Russo

He went on to also play for Torino, Merano and Bolzano HC where he won championships both years, before joining the French Ligue Magnus in 2008–09 with Tours where he was named to the French All-Star team.

Aldo Olivieri
