Transparency International issues a yearly Index measuring corruption perception in 176 countries and according to the 2012 index, Lebanon ranks 128th among 170 countries.

Transparency International

Transparency International was founded in May 1993, with the participation of Peter Eigen, a former regional director for the World Bank.

In 1999, Transparency International began publishing the Bribe Payers Index (BPI) which ranked nations according to the prevalence that a country's multinational corporations would offer bribes.

Since 1995, Transparency International has issued an annual Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI); it also publishes a Global Corruption Report, a Global Corruption Barometer and a Bribe Payers Index.
