In 1949, Alice Tornérhielm married Count Hans Gabriel Trolle-Wachtmeister, a member of the Trolle-Wachtmeister family, with whom she has since lived at Trolle-Ljungby Castle in Scania.

On 23 February 2012, along with Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt, the Speaker of the Parliament Per Westerberg and the Marshal of the Realm Svante Lindqvist, Countess Trolle-Wachtmeister was presented the newborn Princess Estelle, Duchess of Östergötland.
In Autumn 2008, Trolle recorded a song for one of The Danish Electricity Saving Trust's (Elsparefondens) commercials.
After reverting again to the Crown in 1661, it was granted in 1664 by King Frederick III of Denmark to his court favourite, the German merchant and politician Christoffer Gabel, who exchanged it three years later for the chalk mountain of Segeberg with Birgitte Nielsdatter, of the Trolle family and married into the Brahe family, whence the name of the castle and also of her barony, Brahetrolleborg.
On 4 November, Christian was anointed by Gustav Trolle (leader of the Sture party or Sture klan) in Stockholm Cathedral, and took the usual oath to rule the Realm of Sweden through native-born Swedes alone, according to prescription.

After a few years of feuds, Trolle was mortally wounded in a battle at Øksnebjerg, on Fyn, Denmark, 1535.
He was born into the Trolle, a Swedish-originated family of high nobility, was son of Kirsten Herlufsdatter Skave and sir Joachim Arvidsen Trolle, Lord of Lilloe; thus grandson of justiciar Arvid Trolle, Lord of Bergkvara, and the latter's second wife Beate Iversdatter of the Thott, heiress of Lilloe and daughter of lord Iver Axelsen of the Thott, fiefholder of the island of Gulland.
Among his known works are portraits of King Christian VI and Queen Consort Sophia Magdalen (1737, Rosenborg Castle, after Johann Salomon Wahl), Poul Løvenørn (after A. Brünniche) and Niels Trolle (1741, Frederiksborg Castle), Ove Gjedde and Oluf Parsberg (1741, both Ledreborg Castle).
She played Katrine Trolle and other witnesses in a radio dramatisation of the court case HM Advocate v Sheridan and Sheridan.
