José Antonio López Guerrero (JAL) (born Madrid, 1962) is an Associate Professor of Microbiology at the Department of Molecular Biology at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), a researcher and director of the Scientific Culture Department of the Molecular Biology Center Severo Ochoa (CBMSO ) and a collaborator in several scientific cultural programs on radio, television and in the press.
Las Hoyas Formation has been studied for more than two decades by researchers from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and the National University of Distance Education, in collaboration with the Museo de las Ciencias de Castilla-La Mancha, which is responsible for the fossil record from the area.
