Adrian attended university in the United States at Villanova University, where he was coached by three-time world champion Marcus O'Sullivan.
In addition to his ties to American record holder Bob Kennedy, O'Sullivan has coached elite professional runners such as Canadian indoor world silver medalist Carmen Douma-Hussar, and New Zealander Adrian Blincoe.
He finished the race in eighth place by five seconds behind New Zealand's Adrian Blincoe, with a time of 14:00.76.
