North Bay, Ontario

North Bay, critically situated at the junctions of Highway 11 and Highway 17, remains a major transportation centre for Northern Ontario.

North-West Rebellion

Highway 11, stretching from Regina to just south of Prince Albert, has been named Louis Riel Trail by the province; the roadway passes near locations of the 1885 rebellion.

One Yonge Street

It is located at 1 Yonge Street at Queens Quay, and marks the foot of what was Highway 11, known informally as "the longest street in the world".

Saskatchewan Highway 12

It begins in Saskatoon at the intersection of Idylwyld Drive and 22nd Street, initially running north on Idylwyld concurrently with Highway 11.

State Highway 11 was one of the original twenty-six state highways proposed in 1917, overlaid on top of the 'Jefferson Highway.' In 1917 the routing was proposed from the Oklahoma border at Denison, south on present day U.S. Highway 69 through Whitewright into Greenville.
