More FM

Many of the easy listening stations were rebranded as The Breeze and the other stations which typically played Adult Contemporary or Hot AC music were rebranded as MORE FM, the change saw MORE FM extended to more than 15 markets with all stations initially retaining their local announcers.

StarLite

StarLite leaned very hot AC and rhythmic AC, as a result, and only played music from the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, with Michael Jackson's Rock With You as the only 1970s song on the playlist.

WGER

By 2005, WGER had evolved from mainstream AC to its current Hot AC sound, although it would be several months before the station stopped reporting to Radio & Records/Mediabase 24/7's Adult Contemporary airplay panel and switched to the Hot AC panel.

WZDR

Midwest would move WLTM to a simulcast with its similarly-formatted WROE (see above), a simulcast that would last until spring 2001, when WLTM adopted a more upbeat hot AC format as "Magic 99.7", with a schedule featuring Rick Dees' syndicated morning show.

CFHK-FM

By August 2012, CIQM-FM flipped to top 40, leaving CFHK as the only hot AC station again in London.

CHBE-FM

The shift to top 40 proved unsuccessful, and around August 2010, songs from the 1980s were phased back on the playlist, bringing the station back to hot AC.

Dance radio

Interestingly enough, KRXV-KHWY-KHYZ/Barstow-Mountain Pass, California, which also serves Las Vegas, dropped their Hot AC format to relaunch KVBE's former Dance format and adopts its former "Vibe" moniker the following September.

KCJK

KKBJ-FM

In recent years, the station began evolving to a hybrid of Hot AC and Top 40 (CHR), also known as an Adult Top 40 format.

KRMP

KJYO went back to a Mainstream Top 40 direction and KZBS started leaning towards an Adult Top 40 direction, eventually becoming Hot AC KYIS "98.9 Kiss-FM", but it was too late for KPRW to regain its audience.

WEZF

For Montreal listeners, it joins the market's existing longtime hot AC CJFM-FM (Virgin Radio 96).

As of March 2012, WEZF switched to hot adult contemporary per Mediabase reports, making WEZF have the station's second run in the hot AC format.

WHSB

Special weekend programming on Sundays includes the Hot AC version of American Top 40 with Ryan Seacrest.

WLXV

Weekend programming includes the Hot AC version American Top 40 with Ryan Seacrest Sundays; The Hollywood5 with Kidd Kraddick, Nina Blackwood's Absolutely 80's and Kid Kelly's Back Trax USA ('90s version) on Saturdays; and The Beacon with Austin Harris on Sunday mornings.

WSTW

By March 2012, Philadelphia stopped having WISX as the market's only hot adult contemporary, and WSTW flipped to hot adult contemporary when Mediabase made a panel shift on WSTW from top 40 to hot AC.
