Kostrzyn–Słubice Special Economic Zone

The Zone is situated near main roads including the international E30 (A2), E65 (A3) and E28 motorways and near to the ParisBerlinWarsawMoscow international railway line.

All the subzones are close to airports with passenger and cargo facilities in the cities of Babimost, Goleniów and the German capital, Berlin as well as being close to trade and manufacturing centres that are located in the largest cities of the surrounding regions: Gorzów Wlkp, Zielona Góra, Poznań, Szczecin and Koszalin.

Within the zone one can find the biggest cities, industrial and commercial centres of the region: Poznań, Szczecin, Gorzów Wielkopolski and Zielona Góra.


Barwice

Since in 1999 the rail road between Grzmiąca (Gramenz) and Kostrzyn (Küstrin) had been closed down, a rail connection to Barwice does no longer exist.

Kostrzyn nad Odrą

Since 2004 Kostrzyn has annually hosted Przystanek Woodstock in the summer, the largest open-air music festival in Europe and one of the largest in the world.

Küstrin-Kietz

The Oder bridge of the former Prussian Eastern Railway line was rebuilt after World War II, it is today in use by RegionalBahn trains connecting Kostrzyn with Berlin-Lichtenberg station.

Küstriner Vorland

Küstrin-Kietz as well as Gorgast also have access to local trains running on the former Prussian Eastern Railway from Berlin-Lichtenberg to Kostrzyn.
